Hondarribia/Irun

Since my old host family lives in Hondarribia I went to visit them, and stayed at their house for the weekend. Their house is a one minute walk from the discoteca Truck and from the harbor. Whenever we go out partying we have dinner at 9 or 10 and then go to a friend's house and sit at the dining room table talking and drinking until 2 or 3 and sometimes even until 4 and then we finally go out to the club. This particular group of friends always speaks spanish when they get together, so there are only a couple people within the group that I can practice basque with.

A view of Hondarribia. To the left of the water inlet is the town of Hendaia in France. In the background is Irun (the spanish side). It's important to note that the Basques do not refer to these places as the "Spanish Basque Country" or "French Basque Country" but as Hegoaldea and Iparraldea = South side and North side.

A Very Common Street Tree in the Basque Country. Not sure what it is yet, but they give it a very harsh pruning.
